Go-Go Rama Mama

Rental Format(s): 16mm film

A portrait of a lonely afternoon at the All in the Family Lounge. Essentially a "go-go girl's eye view of her patrons as she collects a round of tips", the film sparks many of the old female empowerment vs. degradation debates and lets the audience decide. More importantly, it also captures a simple time in the history of modern stripping before "lap dances" were the norm. Places like the now legendary (and defunct) All in the Family were corner bars with Sinatra and the Pixies on the jukebox. Although the experience is about the girls, the film is also a glimpse of Philadelphia's underground history.
