“From Vault to Screen” ends this weekend!

This summer, the National Gallery of Art has reached deeply into the our collection to present “From Vault to Screen,” an eight-part series that serves as historical overview and ongoing testament to Canyon Cinema and its filmmakers. The program concludes this weekend with two screenings of recent material by Canyon artists.

The decade of the 1990s was important for Canyon Cinema. A new generation of artists’ works in 16 mm film resulted in a dynamic resurgence of film art and exhibition during that time. Moving into the new millennium, this program features films by Eve Heller, David Gatten, Naomi Uman, Tomonari Nishikawa, and others. (Total running time approximately 90 minutes)
