A PETAL PUSHED BY A BREEZE (poem by Rodger Kamenetz)
Just as the nurse's needle
pierced a vein you tasted
metal on the tongue
Everything far in us is near --
The mind points
to just one thought --
A petal trembles in light
A flight taking others out of your world
speeds overhead but you are still
happy to go nowhere
