By resting on the image elements from the film actually registered successively on the tape, it is possible to obtain a fluidity of visual layout of the image components. While keeping the advantage of mobility graphics, the sunflowers try to gain some stability to the entire space-time representation. In this film, the focus is successively adjusted frame by frame, in a series of scores on specific plants in different locations of several fields of contiguous sunflowers. Small frames units recorded one after the other, appear on the screen simultaneously, in their projection in the form of various configurations inducing unusual movements. The relative stability of the image led to research that conduirent to the series of scenes of French life.
