THE ART OF SURVIVAL is a documentary film about Target: LA, an anti-nuclear arts festival which was held in downtown Los Angeles in 1982. The event drew over 5000 people to a multi-level parking structure on a sizzling August weekend to see performances, installations, games of nuclear chance, dance and music. The focus of the film is on the logistical problems encountered by the artists' coordinating committee, as well as on the hundreds of art works which were created especially for this event.
